GUIDED MEDITATION AND HYPNOSIS IN HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA

Meditation and Hypnosis gain access to the Subconscious Mind

It makes sense to access this area if we are working on deeper healing and wanting to make significant improvements in releasing limiting beliefs, behaviors and patterns.

I often use guided meditations in session first and foremost to help clients understand what a powerful took it can be to calm their nervous system.  People  typically feel a shift to calm and grounded after a breathing or meditation exercise.  This is part due to the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system through meditation.  The PNS is the part of our body that allows access to deep relaxation.  Meditation is a free tool to all of us and many clients practice outside of session.

Research and studies show that a regular meditation practice can be as effective or more effective than antidepressants and anti anxiety medication for some individuals with a regular practice.  I began practicing meditation myself in 2008, studied it further at UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center and through many workshops and different teachers.  I also became certified in Breathwork to delve deeper into the benefits of simply tuning in and working with our breath.

Meditation can expand our understanding and awareness of the world and ourselves.  It’s also another tool for self discovery which is why I find it so complementary to the healing work done in therapy.

Hypnosis is another modality used to access the subconscious brain.

The training I received makes hypnosis very similar to a guided meditation. It involves first listening to my voice, noticing your breath and focusing on the body and allowing it to relax.  Just as I do in guided meditation I will suggest visuals for a client to focus on while in hypnosis such as a garden or light.  The biggest difference is I will often use a countdown to help a person go deeper into relaxation and once in a hypnotic state clients are able to speak to me while under hypnosis.  In meditation there is no speaking coming from the client.

There are many myths about hypnosis, the reality is the client is always in control and can stop the process at anytime.

Hypnosis is actually a state of hyper focus.

The conscious mind is always running even while the subconscious mind is accessed.

The subconscious mind is not limited by logic, space or time.

The client can take the information gained from a session as literal or metaphorical, this is always up to the client.

The subconscious allows access to different perspectives and information to assist in healing.

People often find hypnosis to be a very healing experience.

Your Sessions

You will remember your meditation and hypnosis sessions.

Hypnosis brings up images, themes and patterns to the client that we can explore if they wish. Typically clients receive helpful information related to the healing work they are already doing in therapy and the modality allows for deeper understanding and healing.

Many people have profound experiences and state feeling able to release or let go of certain negative beliefs, traumas of wounds that other modalities had not allowed them to access.  Again this is very individual and results such as this cannot be guaranteed.

The modalities used in therapy are always client led and only used if the client is interested in exploring them.

Hypnosis Certification

My Meditation and Hypnosis Training

In my practice specifically I utilize childhood regression hypnosis to access and work with the inner child and unhealed childhood wounds in sessions.

I am also trained in Past Life Regression Hypnosis and this modality can be used for deeper healing as well.

I can tailor the hypnosis sessions to specifically target particular issues a client would like to address and work through.

I was trained by psychiatrist Dr. Brain Weiss and Licensed clinical social worker Carole Weiss.
