Symptoms of depression can look different for each person. It’s not always an overwhelming sadness, as one would expect. Depression can cause irritability, poor sleep, distractibility, low energy, and low motivation. Depression often includes thoughts of self-doubt, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, and a fear that things will never get better.

Anxiety can look like constant worries and doubts. It is the inability to take your mind off of certain stressful or upsetting thoughts. Physically it can feel like you want to jump out of your skin or like a brick is on your chest. You may experience dry mouth, heart palpitations and intense fear. You may feel like your mind is literally racing.
Together we can work to alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms and move you through the anxiety.

Why work with me?
I use a body, mind and soul approach to healing. This isn’t just talk therapy as talk therapy only addresses a certain part of the brain.
After years of being a therapist I realized we need to go deeper to access deeper healing. I utilize methods that gain access to the subconsious brain where our deeply held beliefs, behaviors and patterns are.
By accessing this area one can gain greater change and healing. Some of the modalities I use are guided meditation, Brainspotting and Hypnosis. Therapy is always tailored to your unique needs and wants and we only use modalities that you are comfortable with.
I view emotions as energy to be observed, felt and many times moved with or through. Emotions and feelings are also information and not to be feared but explored. Our emotions are always communicating to us and it can be helpful to work with a therapist to more clearly understand how to listen and what to do with the information.
I only use tools and modalities that I have experienced myself and have training, education or certification in.
I am an experienced therapist and offer therapy in person in Hermosa Beach, CA as well as virtually to residents of CA and OR. My therapy journey began in high school as a peer outreach counselor at the age of 14. I’ve always loved helping people improve their overall life satisfaction and feel good about themselves. Later in college I received more formal training and continue to seek training and mentoring to this day to provide the best mental health treatment possible. I work with individuals ranging from age 12-90 in my practice. Let’s work together to get you to a confident place where you can feel alive and get more satisfaction in your life.
