About Katherine

Katherine‚Äôs road to becoming an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist began at California State University of Long Beach (CSULB), where she earned her Master’s degree in Psychological Counseling for Marriage & Family Therapy.

Katherine is now registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #130530 and is verified by Psychology Today.

Katherine is eager to help people on their journey to wellness, while under the supervision of Erica Gierman, LMFT #45902.

With that, Katherine understands the importance of creating a safe space for her clients to begin unraveling what may be keeping them feeling stuck. She believes that all of us have the resilience within us to move forward, her goal is to help identify the behavioral patterns or negative thoughts and replace them with skills that emphasize the strength and resilience within us all to move forward.

Katherine works with teens and adults; on increasing coping skills and managing what life throws at us through a psychodynamic and Cognitive behavioral therapy approach.

Her specialties include depression, anxiety, life-transitions, generational trauma, and codependency.
